1. (transitive) to pass, transfer, hand over, transmit, bring or take across

   ‏ܠܲܡܦܹܝܕܵܐ ܦܝܼܫ ܠܹܗ ܡܘܼܥܒ݂ܸܪܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܕܵܐ ܠܐܝܼܕܵܐ.‎‎ ― lampēdā pīš lēh muˁḇirrā min īdā l-īdā. ― The torch was passed from hand to hand.

   ‏ܡܘܼܥܒ݂ܸܪ ܠܹܗ ܡܸܠܚܵܐ ܐܸܠܘܿܗ̇.‎‎ ― muˁḇir lēh milḥā illōh. ― He passed her the salt.

   ‏ܘܐܲܢ݇ܬ ܒܸܬ ܡܲܥܒ݂ܸܪܸܬ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܦܲܪܨܘܿܦܵܐܝܼܬ݂ ܠܐܲܒ݂ܵܗܹ̈ܐ.‎‎ ― w-at bit maˁḇirrit lhōn parṣōpāˀīṯ l-aḇāhē. ― and you will hand them over personally to the parents.

3. (transitive) to cause to enter; to insert; to bring in, put through

   ‏ܩܸܡ ܡܲܥܒ݂ܸܪ ܠܝܼ ܠܓܵܘ ܒܲܝܬܵܐ ܠܸܫܬܵܝܵܐ ܦܸܢܓܵܢܵܐ ܕܩܲܗܘܵܐ.‎‎ ― qim maˁḇir lī lgāw baytā lištāyā pingānā d-qahwā. ― He brought me into the house for a cup of coffee.

   ‏ܒܸܬ ܡܲܥܒ݂ܸܪܸܢ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܠܒ݂ܘܼܫܹ̈ܐ ܐܸܢ ܥܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܸܛܪܵܐ.‎‎ ― bit maˁḇirrin lhōn lḇūšē in ˁāryā miṭrā. ― I will bring in the clothes if the rain starts.
