aizto
Basque
Alternative forms
- ainzto (Souletin)
Etymology
A connection to haitz (“stone”) was formerly proposed but is now thought unlikely; see that entry for more. Roncalese ainzto would point to Proto-Basque *anezto.[1]
Pronunciation
Audio (file) - IPA(key): /ai̯s̻to/, [ai̯s̻.t̪o̞]
Declension
Lua error: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'h' (a nil value)
