Prefix

agyon-

  1. (verbal prefix) It has two different but related meanings:
    1. When it is attached to verbs indicating strong physical effects, it means to kill something or someone using physical force.
      agyon- + üt (to hit)agyonüt (to strike dead)
    2. When it is attached to verbs expressing several kinds of activities, it indicates exaggeration, to do something to excess, beyond measure.
      agyon- + un (to be bored of)agyonunja magát (to be bored to death)
      agyon- + dicsér (to praise)agyondicsér (to praise to the skies)
