- According to a transhumanist thought experiment, an otherwise benevolent artificial intelligence from the future that would torture the simulated selves of the people who did not help to bring about its existence, in order to "blackmail" those people who think about this idea now into helping the AI to come into being, for the purpose of ending all other causes of suffering.
