Etymology

From Sanguozhi, said by Liu Shan when he was living in Cao Wei after the collapse of Shu Han:

他日，王問禪曰：「頗思蜀否？」禪曰：「此間樂，不思蜀。」 [Literary Chinese, trad.]

他日，王问禅曰：“颇思蜀否？”禅曰：“此间乐，不思蜀。” [Literary Chinese, simp.]

Tārì, wáng wèn Chán yuē: “Pō sī Shǔ fǒu?” Chán yuē: “Cǐjiān lè, bùsī Shǔ.” [Pinyin]

Another day, the prince (Sima Zhao) asked Liu Shan, “Do you still miss Shu very much?” Liu Shan replied, “I enjoy life here and don't miss Shu at all.”
